Poor today, closing down and the back four looked disjointed. Not surprising when you consider we had two new players and two kids in there with no leader. In midfield we looked poor Morgan and Gana were dog in terms if passing and defending, Siggy was barely noticeable bar the goal. Most of all that high line is terrifying unless you have two absolutely beasts at the back it's easy to play through and it will always be an issue. You need someone to take the initive and clear the ball whether its the keeper or CB instead we sat off and allowed West Ham to play around us like it was a training game at times. We could have scored more but it wasn't meant to be, Tosun looks off colour. It's worrying that we can't control or close put games because out defending and midfield is inadequate. But still half a team out, early days and a lot to work on.I won't fully judge until Silva has his full team out there for a run but we must improve and with players coming back we should. But I think it will be another mixed season. A few rays of light, Digne looked good going forward and Bernard could offer something.

Trouble is, they've all played some halfway decent teams along the way. We are averaging 1 point a game and haven't played anyone who will finish top half yet.

That's not how the PL works, they will drop points to some easy teams and we will win against some difficult teams when we play them, I can bet my house on it. It's way too early to be having meltdowns, it's a new style of play and new players to bed in, it will not happen instantly.

New style of play? Nothing new going on. Today was prime Koeman, Martinez and Allardyce rolled into one.

Not advocating any sort of action by the way, I have patience but it would be nice to see what is being attempted because it's not clear whatsoever.

The high line game of our players will always cause us problems due to the fact it is so easy for their defence just to kick the ball forward over our defence and run on to the ball as happened today, our defenders are not quick enough to get back.
 

We were dreadful, the only thing I enjoyed is Digne crosses, but he needs to learn how to defend. Oh also Bernard looks like he could be very useful but this was a game that's a must quick to forget.
