It's an appalling result and a terrible start given we play Arsenal next week. 6 from 6 is not acceptable and Silva needs to keep picking up points despite it being an experimental year. We shouldn't lose at home to anyone nevermind bottom of the table without a point West ham. It's a tragic result that is all too familiar and the players are far too accepting. They should be utterly devastated and mortified but I doubt they are even slightly arsed. Such is the comfy cushy number that an everton player has.

We were dreadful, the only thing I enjoyed is Digne crosses, but he needs to learn how to defend. Oh also Bernard looks like he could be very useful but this was a game that's a must quick to forget.

I see that attacking full backs get pulled up frequently for being out of position. What has happened to attacking full backs getting covered by team mates. McCarthy did it, Barry did it and that is the way it is supposed to be. The full back shouldn't be accused of being out of position when it is the failing of other players. Schnides and Gana should be doing the majority of covering. Yes full backs have to learn when to go and when to stay but today Digne was in a advanced position when we had comfortable possession of the ball but a risky pass/bad control (Tosun) automatically put Digne out of position. Not Dignes fault for sloppy play. As West Ham advanced where was Gana and/or Schnides?? Gana and Schnides are the main culprits for A) Sloppy passing B) Lack of cover C) Lack of guile. I would rather see them not advance far past the half way line to be in a position to aid the CB's and to cover the full backs or cover the CB's if they are covering the full backs. They go awol far too much. Digne is a superb crosser of the ball so we need him to advance quite often so he should be appropriately covered or he might aswell stay defensive and we lose a good attacking ploy.

Does it matter? That implies that the other results have been good, they haven’t. Atrocious start to the season.
Never said it wasn’t.

Earlier you said he was a ‘joke of a manager’ - who do you feel should be there instead?

And would they be afforded more than 5 games?

That’s not my job to decide who should be there instead. Personally, I’d have loved us to offer Conte the job on double Silva’s wage. Give him anything he wanted.

They’d be afforded more than 5 games if they didn’t have a record of not being able to set a defence up. Silva has been known in England to be clueless when it comes to defence. We seen that firstborn hand when Unsworth’s woeful Everton team turned around a two goal deficit to win 3-2.

The alarm bells are ringing out. He is a deadman walking here.

Conte won't have came here.

He's not a dead man. It's one loss.

Wind your neck in and realise these players are the problem.

How do you know? Was the question put to him?

So you don’t think Silva’s system has affected us this season?

I think you know it has. As I said, the warning signs are there. Arsenal are going to bury us and then the tailspin starts again.

Did you want him to continue with Allardyce system. Messes don't get resolved overnight. You need to get a grip.

He will carry on with the high line at home. It's so easy to get at when you have no decisive player or the pace in every position. What happened to Pickford sweeping up? It seems he doesn't use a high line away,I wonder why I suppose sinking deeper and hitting on the break is easier away as the Hammers did today. They were playing around us. In fairness that team had never played together before and that back four is probably our third choice. But yeah he has a lot to sort out, the passing and control in midfield was nonexistent today, people ask what Davies does but he does more than Gana and Snidey in terms of getting us forward and trying to pass forwards.I am not as worried about us going forward we were missing our biggest threat today but in midfield and at the back we lack dominant players. I am hoping Mina and Gomes can improve these positions.

I want him to implement a system that garners more than one point against dross like Huddersfield and West Ham. After the summer expenditure, and the players that were already in the squad, I don’t think that is too much to ask for. He’s shown that he can’t organise a defence, his game management is pathetic and he is clearly not the man to take us further. He’ll be sacked, there is no doubt in my mind.

One loss and you want him sacked. I'll say it again...

You need to catch a grip and return to the real world.

Have you seen the teams we’ve played?! Have you genuinely just watched the past three performances and think that is any way acceptable? The warning signs were there since we threw the game on the first day of the season. Even our only solidarity win was akin to the Stoke win last season. We’ve every bit as bad as last season and this clown isn’t going to stop the rot.

Implementing any change of style and system takes at least half a season to be done well.

Yes we've started badly. Yes we'll almost certainly lose to Arsenal next week too. But if you expected a seamless transition then you are utterly deluded.

Done expect too much this season. Keep sensible expectations. There are still too many awful players here who have got 3 managers the sack. They will be gradually booted out. Yes by all means call out the crap today. I'm raging and massively frustrated myself. But to call for a sacking is insane and shows you are deluded. You need to accept this is going to take time.
