A lot of people said we were wrong to get rid of Allardyce and I’m starting to think they were right.

He worked miracles with this squad.
We weren't. He was awful. We are currently in transition after an absolute shambles of a recruitment by Walsh and Koeman. We haven't seen the Silva signings as yet really, with the exception of Digne and to a lesser extent Zouma. Digne especially has impressed.

Despite how bad we were today, and I think you can point at missed chances and Schneiderlin's personal circumstances, I will be reserving full judgement on Silva after 15 games and when his signings have had a good run of games.

shambolic performance that, where do i start......

pickford: worst performance i've seen from him so far, poor decision making led to the second goal
kenny: local lad or not he's just not good enough for me
digne: looked bright offensively, worryingly got bullied by yarmolenko in defence
zouma: can see why chelsea have doubts, despite his physical abilities wasn't dominant and decision making was poor at times
holgate: can't pick a pass to save his life, got bullied by arnautovic
schneiderlin: didn't do much,
gueye: passing let him down , why does so much of our forward play go through him? if were going to play out from deep we need an upgrade
gylfi: typical performance, hid for most of the game, pretty sure he only scored because the west ham lads forgot he was on the pitch
dcl: lads never a left winger, put him up front and see how he goes
walcott: didn't look fully fit, looked a yard off the pace and struggled to affect the game
tosun: bin.....woeful today

subs:
bernard: looked bright, can't wait to see him fully up to speed
oumar: he's oumar, need i say more?
lookman: appalling, did nothing and then had to cheek to throw his arms in the air at a mistake, should have bitten rbl hand off when they bid over £20 mill

West Ham were absolutely there for the taking today, their defence somehow looks even worse can ours. There were a couple of times immediately after Niasse came on where any halfway competent pass would have left the goal utterly at our mercy. It was beyond comical. I couldn't envisage us not scoring.

They are going to get ripped apart again and again and again and again this year. Like they already have. And yet, somehow, we failed to land a glove on them.

1 point from West Ham and Huddersfield at home is likely to be bettered by every single team in the league. There really is no sugar coating it, it has been a dreadful start. Top 6 will have disappeared over the horizon before the end of September. Again.
