All the palaver over Brentford. They're a mid-table outfit. We put away Arsenal at home and I see no reason why we dont do the same to that lot.

Bit of a disservice. they havent been beat in the league since october. Their losses this season are Arsenal Man cty levels.
I Think some just see oh its Brentford. This looks as tough a game as any. Stronger at home. But they dont get beat on the road that much.

Looking their last few aways, they tend to set up in a 3-5-2 to control the midfield and width.

Should we start with 4-1-4-1 we should have plenty of opportunities down the wings especially with our full backs.

Hoping for DCL to be back fit with Patterson to come back in.

We will get chances and we can win

They got battered here last season and they would have had another heavy defeat if Branthwaite hadn't have ballsed up when we were 1-0 up and coasting.

Let's see what that lot are all about now they've had some expectation placed on them. I suspect they wont rise to it.

Seeing them go to the Etihad and come away with 3 points doesn’t fill me with confidence for the weekend tbh.

Why bang on about last season. I think a few teams have underestimated them this season and come unstuck.
Good side. Dont get beat often. If we're not at it we wont get anything. I was more confident getting 3 points against Villa.

Villa are a very different proposition attacking wise than Brentford. Villa have more sophistication in their attack.

The reason we've done well against Brentford even in the last 2 seasosns is that they're direct, and we have defenders who'll cope with that better than they will a savvy forward like Watkins and players like Buendia and Coutinho.

Horses for courses. We'll beat them in front of a packed Goodison.

Wouldn't be so confident of that.

Beating Fulham is not suddenly putting any new expectations on Brentford. They would have had Fulham down as a game they fancy winning anyway. Trying to turn Brentford's good form and healthy position in the league table into a positive for Everton is really clutching for straws.

Didn't they hit the woodwork about 3-4 times in the away game, was a siege second half and they should've comfortably won rather than scrambling a 1-1 late on. Gordon scored that day of course.

They'll certainly score imo.
