In every paper this morning about Costa biting Barry, wonder if the F.A will look at it, they have to I think.
He was about to and thought better of it at the last minute.

They'll look at it and his behaviour post the red though imo. I'd be surprised if he only gets one game for his petulance. He's had it coming all season, incredible that's the first red he's received tbh.

I've always liked Oliver. Maybe he should have been harsher on Costa but Diego is really good at doing just enough to not cross the line, usually.
This. His whole game is based around winding opposition players up and getting snide, niggling fouls in. Yet according to Hiddink, we went after him because he's easy to wind up. We (mainly Barry) gave him a taste of his own medicine today. Good on you blues. Maybe we're not the easy touches we sometimes appear to be.
I'd love us to turn into that complete football team we dream of. We know if teams come to just play football we can already play most off the park. But it'd be nice to think that if teams want to be snidey, we'll give them lessons in snide. And if they want to kick us we'll kick them off the park too.
COYB!!!!!!!!!

Still buzzing from last night but want to put a few views on here today. As soon as I watched the first few minutes our setup was what some of us on here have been screaming for. Back four pushed up midfield engaging the oppo higher up the field and some pressing intensity. People right what they are saying we would prefer some up and at em performances than just silky attacking (very open ) football. Last word from me for Tom Cleverley, absolutely slaughtered before kick off for not being Spanish and owning a tiny dog, he locked down the left side with Leighton ,causing pedro ,willian and the Chelsea full back to run into a brick wall all night. Read some views of people after the game saying cleverly poor, He is not a goal scorer he is not an assist king he is not a no10 .What he is at the moment is a very focused footballer doing an excellent job for his team enabling the superstars to win the plaudits and the game for us.

:) A rent boys reaction on the shed end forum....jesus wept..."Well the worst season in many a year is finally over...congrats to Everton for going out there to get Costa sent off...it worked...in fact their game plan seemed to be to get as many of our players booked as possible...

But we were fcuking sh*t and can't moan about going out...looked like Hiddink set us up to do what he does best, get a draw, but our defence is w**k and let Lukaku score two simple goals...

Everton are a sh*te side and yet we lost to them...again...we got what we deserved"

Hahahah it's music to my ears to hear them like that, haha up the blues.

I've just downloaded it off Iplayer, can't stop watching Lukaku's first, rewound it about 6 times now, the last 20mins of this game are ace, the goals, the fans going off their heads, brilliant.

A very good analysis mate. Cleverly had a really good game yesterday, and actually laid on a brilliant pass for Lukaku's first chance.

I also love how he gets in the face of the ref. That was the big difference yesterday, big game, big club experience. He is very responsible and understands that his role is tholepin others shine.

Just watched the game again and the reaction of Dunc behind Martinez after Lukaku's opener is a joy to behold.

The passion that fella has for our football club is there for all to see.

I do think Dunc has had a role to play in turning Lukaku from a decent player with potential into a beast of a striker. A 'centre forward' in the old mould a la Dunc and Andy Gray in using his strength to hold off opponents and make things happen. His first goal last night was reminiscent of Andy Gray's second half performance against Bayern Munich at Goodison in 1985...

Rom: You wanted to see me Mr Moshiri?

Farhad: Come in Romelu. Please sit down. Now as you know, there's been a bid for you from Realbarca Galactic Utd.

I just wanted to make clear to you the choice that you now have. If you choose to leave, we will be asking a lot of money for you. (pause) A lot.

You're a great player, Rom. You've got the talent and self assurance to wear that price tag and rise above it. You'll be one of xx players competing for the striker's shirt so you might not get to play in all the games.

Yes, you'll have the chance to play Champions league most seasons but it's worth remembering that world class strikers at these global clubs are easily discarded and quickly forgotten. Good luck to you if you go, we at Everton wish you well - you'll always be remembered for scoring the winning goal at Anfield in 2016.

Alternatively, you could stay and write your name across this clubs history. The player who awakened the giant. Here they remember their strikers as saints of the game. You could achieve that here in a way that won't happen anywhere else.

You'll know now that we've seen off bids for John Stones, Seamus and Ross. If you stay you'll be part - perhaps the most important part - of something truly special.

Become the football legend that you were born to be, Rom.
