Gueye has been poor in recent weeks and should be shown that he isn't indispensable. He's a quality player, but shouldn't get the impression that he's undroppable, especially with three games in a week. Playing out of form players every week is what got us into this mess.
I wouldnt say poor. Bar one mistake vs utd. He just does what he does and breaks up attacks. I think we expect more creativity from him because we are so poor with creativity all over the park. He certainly not been any worse than gordon, grey, coleman thats for sure.

Torn between 4-2-3-1 and 442 today

Pickford

Coleman
Tarkowski
Coady
Mykolenko

Garner
Gana

Iwobi
Onana
Grey/gordon

Dcl

Know i am shoe horning iwobi on the wing and we all know he is better central but gordon and grey have been rubbish.

Dave Watson scores his and Everton’s second goal against Crystal Palace in this Football League Cup Third Round Replay played at Selhurst Park, Crystal Palace, London on the 10th November 1993.

Get rid of every single one of those kin pathetic 'wingers' we have. Get Vinegar and Holgate at full back. Start Garner, Maupay and DCL.

Would like to see Maupay and Calvert Lewin up front together. Wingers have been absolutely poo recently. Its time to whip the diamond out.

Tricky game. Coleman v Zaha scares me. If we can get at their midfield they can be dominated, but it will need Gueye to improve from his last few games. We need to move a couple of yards up the pitch from the last few games, and I think we will. Tight game, 1 goal in it either way, but the concern is their forwards are better than ours. Mind you, which team's aren't!

I don’t see this happening, either Frank was bluffing and Patterson is back early or Holgate starts to deal with him

We're in the position where we need extremely fortunate big decisions to go for us today - a penalty or a sending off.

Vieira will have these pumped up today looking for a revenge win after the last time at GP. We should exploit that and be hounding this ref to get his cards out for any strong challenge.

We really do need stuff like this to get us out of the mess we've descended into.
