I don’t see this happening, either Frank was bluffing and Patterson is back early or Holgate starts to deal with him
Utter tripe. Coleman has done well in the games he's had back. No mistakes have cost us goals. They came from others. He will be one of the first names on the team sheet. He's experienced and will handle Zaha. FFS, you'd think Zaha was Mbappe the way some talk him up.

To be fair in the past he’s had some great performances against zaha hope I haven’t jinxed it now lol

Dave I’m as big a Coleman fan as anyone but we need pace v pace for this one, it’s not a knock on Seamus

Just had a message from my Evertonian son;
“Let’s hope this guy doesn’t turn up today!”

Enjoy the game and safe trip everyone going.;)

Me neither, would be a massive risk to put Coleman up against Zaha, Seamus could have one of his rare blinders but it could also go very, very wrong that.

Pickford
Gordon Coady Tarks Myko
Gana Garner Iwobi
Gray, DCL, McNeil

Gordon needs a reset and needs to start feeling his way back into what he's good at. Marking Zaha and breaking free would be a good test and focus for him.
Have Gana minding Gordon's positional, Iwobi to provide balance on the other side, with Garner starting to orchestrate from middle and get some through thrust into their play.
Think Onana could do with 65mins on the bench, he needs to see how he can fit back into the whole, he's losing his way. Onana to score.

Lacking any real threat up front, in a sense, is comforting when looking at the table and results.
A proper threat from the front 3 and think the rest of the team will be shining.
Until then its finger crossed that McNel can get crosses to DCL and Gray can actually find a pass rather than doing his best McGeady impersonation.

Big, big game today. Hopefully, we can get the spirit and commitment of last seasons game. I'd play with a diamond midfield with Gueye holding Onana, and Garner with Iwobi in the tip. DCL and Maupay up top. Fullbacks will be able to get forward more than they have done. I think Mykolenko has struggled of late maybe start with Vinagre. With all that said, it's us supporters that can play our part and make a load of difference like we did the tail end of last season.
