Starting fullbacks cannot be Coleman and Mykolenko again, they offer us absolutely nothing in possession.

Our wide attackers have been getting a lot of flack but in fairness to them there's never the option of the overlap with Coleman/Mykolenko and it takes out any fluidity from our attacks, we haven't stretched any defence in these past 3 games.

We've got midfielders now who have the legs and are capable of covering for full backs to properly get down the line.

Lampard needs to make some positive and proactive changes and get the entire team pushed further up the field and take the game to the opposition.
My sentiments exactly we’ve got enough legs in midfield, with the right blend at least one of our fullbacks can bomb on at any given time which will free more pace for the front 3. This has been stark since Coleman has come in.

I’d start with the same 11 and tell them there will be big changes if things don’t improve! Work harder, be braver to provide options for the man in possession. Our lack of movement is one of our biggest problems IMO. The best teams have options in possession. Their players work hard to support each other. Part of the reason for our lack of threat, and often possession, is down to a lack of willingness to support the man with the ball. Too worried about losing shape, and as a result posing little threat. People moan about our lack of threat from the wingers and fullbacks, but the three in the centre also need to start providing a lot more threat. Actually run forward and try and attack together, collectively work harder to cover for each other. I’m not expecting us to start playing brilliant attacking football overnight, but it would be nice to see us at least try to attack and dominate a game at times. The only way that happens is with a more positive attitude throughout the team. Just graft more for each other and things will improve imo

For me, Gordon, Gray, Mykolenko, Coleman and Gueye out for Maupay, Vinagre, Holgate, Garner and Doucouré. No more League One wingers, and Iwobi playing ahead of a three man midfield.

Surely cannot get worse than the last few games.

For me, it's just god awful management if you're picking the same terribly underperforming players every week. I really think Lampard is bringing on a lot of this himself.

Keep it tight and central, and look to use Iwobi's energy to open them up.

I'd drop Gordon from the squad altogether to give him a reality check of where he is in his career.

Pickford
Holgate Coady Tarkowski Vinagre
Garner Onana Doucouré
Iwobi
Maupay Lewin

If he turns in a team sheet with Doucoure starting over a fit Gueye he needs to be relieved of his duties in the hour before kickoff.

Gueye has been poor in recent weeks and should be shown that he isn't indispensable. He's a quality player, but shouldn't get the impression that he's undroppable, especially with three games in a week. Playing out of form players every week is what got us into this mess.

The one give away against United was bad but aside from that no Gueye has been absolutely fine.

And that's not even the point really, you can't replace a real midfielder with Abdoulaye Doucoure.

It will be nice to have a 2 goal cushion at some point to give the players and fans a bit of breathing space.
A full throttle performance is needed today from the first whistle, we need to dominate possession in games like this.
