Just saw the goal.

My oh my oh my. I don't think I've ever seen a worse piece of goalkeeping at Goodison. bye bye Joel. You'll never play for us again

I have to disagree with some views here about Ledson; I thought he was dreadful and just fouled or gave up on tackles. I hope I'm wrong, and he is young enough for improvement but compared to Garbutt, he is years away. And McAleny is a headless chicken

Edit: so as not to sound too negative, a goalkeeping error from the same result as the first team isn't too bad, and Oviedo showed - along with the rust - a few glimpses of his class. Kone looks direct and able to hold the ball up and Alcaraz with Barry in CD looked like a good partnership in an injury crisis

He hit a few long distance passes to find team mates and was miles better in the second half. Remember he is only 17.

McAleny is a championship player at best and at 22 isn't going to make the top.

......in that position Ledson has a lot to learn, especially in the pressing side of his game. In his age group he chases players down to good effect, at this level he runs at opponents and gets skinned. He'll learn to time things better, not rush in. I suspect what has Coaches so excited is his ability to control and set the tempo of games with his passing dimension.

Even yesterday, he grew into the game and was demanding possession taking short passes and knocking expansive balls out wide. Watch him for England and you can see why he's skipper. There is a lot of real talent in that side, he's not obviously one but he's like an old pro and it's clear how much his team mates respect him.

Don't expect a Barkley or Rooney type but he could be a goodun.

After watching some poor distribution from our wonderful goalkeeper and seeing him lose his head when they scored, I think he is at the moment a league 1 player, maybe he needs a season long loan. He may be good enough for us one day but right now he needs matches and fast

Well remember that the game didn't mean anything at all.

Take a look at our other games. They were pretty good games.

I'm very 'Anti-Europa League', mate - have been since UEFA came up with the idea of the awful competition.

Champions League isn't much better either. The Group Stages are almost farcical.
