well I thought our back 4 were excellent . well done the 2 youngsters who didn't look out of their depth. jags and mori were very composed.

howard , weak and a shadow of the keeper he was pre world cup. he was at fault for the goal and just doesn't fill me with confidence when ever the ball goes his way or even when he distributes the ball.

McCarthy and barry played very well , as did Naismith. but ..... again id say do we need 2 defencive midfeilders ? even though all 3 played well , did they offer enough going forward ? I actually think the positions they play/formation/tactics nullify our attacking chances.

del didn't get into the game at all .
barkley was very hot and cold.he tried to boss the game atleast , but made the occasion poor decision.

lukaku , the weaker side of his game was his strongest today. I thought he showed great fight at times.

our game overall mirrored barkleys performance , hot and cold , good but just lacked a bit of composure a few times.

as for the ref . decision 1 emre can ....can got the yellow , barkley shouldn't have got one . sakho ran across to get stuck in too , so a yellow missed for him and a yellow wrongly given to our player .
then emre can should have got a second yellow .... so the first red not given.

decision 2 .... lucas should have got a second yellow on 2 occasions ..... second red missed

decision 3 .... sakhos yellow should have been his second (for his involvement at the time of emre cans yellow) lukaku shouldn't have got a yellow . red card missed and a yellow wrongly given.

so the ref missed 4 yellows and 3 reds and gave 2 yellows to us that we shouldn't have got.

terrible referee.

Just a bit meh, we should've gone for the kill, often feel Rom is to isolated in the box. Anyway, we are doing ok in the league, much better than last season so keep it up.

Showed them too much respect again. Suppose you could say we were missing some key players and we had a makeshift back four but we all know they're excuses. Not as good as some on here were making out. Two points dropped and no where near top 4. Now we need a win against Man Utd or momentum well and truly lost.

Sitting deep and coaxing them on for the first part of 2nd half wasn't the best idea in hindsight. Barry and McCarthy sat too deep. I think we should have gone Naismith for Kone earlier and pushed up instead of ceding the space and the ball. We had the legs on their forward line to do it (as seen later in the game) and we had the attacking momentum going into second half. Should have gone for it then.

Need to cut out the alehouse defending from set pieces.

Positives - Ross, Rom's second half, our defense, Kone when he came on and not losing to that shower

Opportunity lost but I'm fairly sanguine about that tbh.

Not really happy with that. Feel like we should've won that comfortably. Mignolet saved them today.
Yes it was a tale of two keepers and Bostic TH staying on his line that ball was crossed in the air 5 yards from his hands he should have flattened everplayer to punch that ball away and got himself a foul on the keeper!

Rom getting Man of the Match!!!

I'm always just happy to get them over with. I can't be doing with the nerves in the build up. Should've won but at least we didn't lose it.

Hope McCarthy lets Coutinho out his pocket so he can enjoy the rest of his Sunday.

Mate we've got to get rid of this. It's not "at least we didn't lose it." It's why didn't we win it. We need winning mentality if anything good is going to happen at the club.

No disrespect intended.
