The 4-0 was an anomaly, we had as many shots as them, had Alcaraz playing and Stones was out of position as no Coleman. They also had Gerrard, Sterling, Suarez and a fully fit Sturridge. And we didn't have Barkely 2.0 and Deulofeu in flying form.

We will DESTROY them.

First Derby in a long, long time that I've been confident about.

I'm going for a comfortable 3-1. Lukaku to get a brace, Sturridge to pull one back and then Deulofeu to wrap it up.

The derbies last season were as timid as anything under Moyes, if not worse. Utterly terrified of trying to win the game. They probably bother me more than the 4-0.

That conservatism came on the back of the previous 1 (despite liverpool not even having the same tools to inflict another 4-0) and are why i doubt we'll play adventurous enough footy to win comfortably

Last season was weird all round. Dawn of a new age this year, we will terrorise them for 90 minutes, they will have nightmares until Xmas.

Now that their last local idol has slipped across the Atlantic, there will never be a better chance to turn the mental tide in these games. We need to beat them with a touch of arrogance and let their hoards of viking descendant supporters know who owns the city for the foreseeable future.

Even if Stones is back, Suarez is just incredible and will definitely score at least once. Obviously he'll benefit from great service from young Sterling, who's dangerous in his own right!
And if all else fails we all know how up for these Stevie G gets. But if we can contain those three key players we might stand a chance here. COYB

It most definitely was. We were cack that evenin' but we were in good form both going into & after that game. They were jammy as fook to play us on the day we didn't show. If we'd played them the next day we'd have mashed 'em. They also played arsenal on a day they didn't show. They met teams at the exact right time that season, and still got pennos to help them on their way. Fraudsters.
