If Stones doesn't make it I'd be tempted to put Galloway at centre half with Jags. He's looked more assured than Mori so far.

Really though we just need to do our thing. The only derby defeat most of our current players know is that horrible 4-0. It was vile, but they're not nearly the same team as they were then. Suarez, Sterling, Gerrard. All gone.

I want our lads to seize this chance to show them that we've grown since then while they've sh1t it and sold all their best players.

The thing that annoys me most, is that if that XI played for anybody else, we'd be so confident. Laughing about how their midfield won't see the ball, and how Deulofeu will tear them apart. But because it's them..... So much of this game is in the head. Just hope without them having Gerrard/Suarez/Sterling we show them up for how ordinary they are.

The first bit, while I agree with the logic, you kinda have to show faith in new signings a bit and we are really short at LB if we shift Galloway inside.

Sturridge to score in the 85th minute, do a dance, get injured again for 6 months. Record will be played two games scored 3.

Everton that. I bloody hate derbies.

great work, @chicoazul , possibly your best yet.

oh.

wait.

sorry.

well in, @Aar_the_Toffees, enjoyable reading. nice pics. good times.

hopefully the match will be a enjoyable. i'll be horribly hung over for it as Saturday night is some Oktoberfest here in Asuncion and, conveniently, the only other Evertonian in Paraguay (his two very young kids aside) will be slinging beers.

I was thinking Mori could play left back in stead. Though I agree that effectively demoting him beneath a kid might knock his confidence.

Off topic but doesn't he look like a nice big goon?

I think it'd be unwise to play him in a position he's even less comfortable in at the expense of a very defensively minded left back that can cover him in Galloway. Especially given how well Galloway is playing currently.

But lovely big goon definitely

anyone expecting a big win is mental in all honesty

just like you would have had to be mental to expect a big derby win under moyes

they are turd but martinez will still be terrified of that 4-0 and really eager to avoid a demoralising defeat that will sidetrack our recent progress. A dull 1-1 si what i expect, though i'm hopeful of edging it

thats kind for you, i'd say it would be down right silly mad

WE need to be careful of long balls to Sturridge but they don't have the players to hurt us. Also think our players won't be as nervous as usual (personally this is a big reason why we havent done as well as we should've done over the years as we've had comparable squads for the last decade or so).

If we play our normal game it'll be a comfortable victory, especially if Stones is back.
