In the aftermath of the win over Chelsea, I was absolutely buzzing about the semi-final.

Take into account the crumble against West Ham, the capitulation to Arsenal, miserable effort at OT, and - at best - below average performances against Watford, Palace and Southampton, now we've been dismantled, battered and thoroughly embarrassed and ridiculed by the RS... I deeply regret admitting to having no confidence for the outcome on Saturday if RM is still in charge.

I walked my dog at 5.30 this morning and found myself considering not going - that's how bad things have become under this manager and his simply awful reign.

For me, the very first warning sign that went unheeded was the 4-0 tonking the RS gave us in his first season, and the second major sign was the giving away of two goals in the last five mins pf the first home game against Arsenal last season.

Blips we thought didn't we?

But they weren't, they were the first symptoms of a failing philosophy. The first signs that a solid defence was being/had been eroded, the first signs that one mans dream would turn into nothing short of a cancer within the club.

I will be going on Saturday and I will support the team, but for me after last night, if not before, Martinez is a blight on my life and football dreams.
If we win, he will get no praise or plaudits from me.
If we lose, he must be dismissed.
If we're humiliated and embarrassed by a poor Manu team, then with the exception of the new blood on the board, the rest should immediately sell their shares to Mr.Moshiri and go, en masse, as Everton will need a complete and total rebuild without interference and obstacles from within.

I cannot believe that Mr.Moshiri has come into our club without being fully aware of the magnitude of the project he has embarked upon, and I hope and pray he has the fortitude, strength and bloody-minded determination to bring it to fruition.

This is exactly how I feel, I am genuinely considering not bothering. Really weird feeling for me.

It's actually worrying that I'm considering not going to the semi final just because I can't take much more of this. We haven't looked like a team for months now, there is no fight, no passion and that is purely down to Martinez. Seems he cant rally the players for games and they don't come much bigger than the semi final of the Fa Cup. I can't see a new manager being brought in before the end of the season, also I'm not sure how much that will benefit us. If we lose Saturday and the season is over. Simple as.

I've decided to be optimistic. It's always darkest before the dawn.

Let's wallop this arrogant Manc club and their hordes of glory hunting woolybacks.

We're Everton and it's going to be our cup for the 6th time.

Up the Toffees.

Remember after we won on pens against this lot in 2009. What a beautiful 15 minutes that was :D

"And it's Hi Ho Silver Lining and away you go, well Baby, I see your sun is shining but I won't make a fuss, though it's obvious."

You are all invited to the Funeral of Everton FC at Wembley Stadium, London Saturday April 23rd starting at 1715hrs. Family and friends are requested to wear Royal Blue.

Those unable to attend can watch the service live on BBC TV.

Service will be conducted by Señor Roberto Martinez and there will be a reading by Mr W Kenwright.

No flowers.

....that both made me laugh loudly.

And almost cry.

Strange times indeed.

The only good thing about this semi final is that at least it takes the focus away from our battering last night. I find myself grateful that this isn't actually a Monday morning and I have to endure a full week of gloating Kopites before our next game.

If Martinez is in charge I feel we are out of the cup this weekend. I'd go so far as to say we won't win another game for the rest of the season. It must be painfully apparent to all that he has lost the players, a large section of the fans and even the media are lining up to have a pop now. Absolutely nothing is gained by keeping him in place; he's not going to change. I find myself keep checking the breaking news sections of various sports pages in the hope I'll see the first alert that he and Everton have parted ways...the last time I felt this disheartened was the Mike Walker days and even then I don't recall seeing such a lack of effort by those wearing the blue shirt.

Utd are beatable, more so now than in recent years, but I cannot see us getting anything in this game. Too many defenders out, no belief by the players and an inflexible manager who is so painfully out of his depth it's embarrassing to watch. I'm going 3-0 Utd.

Dreading Saturday, can't see how Martinez is gonna lift the squad by the weekend.

Fingers crossed am wrong

Normally would be buzzing for a semi final at wembley, i would normally be getting right up for it all week putting everton songs on and the lot but at the moment i have never felt less bothered and less confident about a game it really is sad. Thanks for that roberto.
