Im not a man for moral defeats, but we gave it a good go there against the best team of the last decade. I think the future is very promising, once Carlo upgrades the squad in the summer. It's disappointing that we lost, but city are a great side, and at least we made them work for it.

Never going to beat them tonight. Even with the gladwys street we would of struggled. Played a genuine world class side. Look at their bench. Just move on and hope we get lucky next season.

So far, so close. If we held on for extra time who knows what would have happened, still we were not expected to win and shouldn’t feel disheartened as we put up a good fight against arguably the best team in the world right now.

City are a great side, quality and depth. Putting a shift in is the bare minimum requirement for every match, it should be anyway.

Along with quality, mentality needs changing. Hopefully it will because I can’t stomach anymore of what it has been over the last years. I’ll leave it at that.

They were far too good for us, even without all our injuries they would have beaten us, but, the team gave all they had tonight. No complaints.

Really happy with that performance.

Would have been interesting to see how we'd have got on with Doucoure and James in for Gomes and Sigurdsson.

Plenty of positives. Godfrey continues to show why he has the tools to be top 4 class, Mina had a great game, as did Allan and we were really defensively solid. We also picked up no further injuries.

Can't really complain overall, their squad is a bit of a joke and I suspect they're finally getting to the point where they're going to start making a mockery of the PL.
