Hasn't gone well for us all season, I'm afraid.

Best plan is to go all out attack. We aren't going to grind out a 1-0, and City has been unexpectedly leaky of late. Our best hope is to try to rope them into a slugfest like the 3-3 United draw or the 5-4 Tottenham win.

In many ways Pep is the best manager to face in that scenario, because I don't think he can help trying to win by outscoring the opponent if you dare him to do so.
Surely every manager/team has to outscore the opponent to win....or have I been missing something all these years?...

Well Carlo explained it all in his presser last week.

He could play, but he'd be at 50% and only able to do, max, an hour - and that's even without counting the intensity with which City play. So they're gonna give him extra time to recover and get him fit for after the international break.

End of the day, this is the trade off with James. It's why he's here, and not still at one of Europe's elite teams.

Issue is we're so reliant on him to create for us, and other than that we have Digne and Gylfi crossing (with the latter capable of the odd neat throughball). After that, nothing.

Desperately needs addressing in the summer.

Always a joy to watch city play and right now, they look unplayable. Be a fun watch but I can’t see a win. With James, we had a chance but without we don’t have the magic he showed in the derby and against utd to take that one chance.

...will not be watching this impending evisceration of our brave lionhearts.
Same here, getting absolutely marmalised and shredded is bad enough without having to watch the horror show too.

I'll set it to record just in case the greatest miracle of all time actually happens but finger on the delete recording button when reality crashes in.

I look at it this way. City have been dominate across the board this season so this is basically a free shot. We lose and it's simply expected against a much stronger squad. Only way I'm disappointed/fuming is if our players don't put the effort in like in previous games this season.

We do seem to play to the level of our opposition for better or worse so that's a silver lining

People worrying that Carlo won’t set us up to go out to attack need to realise thaf even if he did that we still wouldn’t attack because were not going to touch the ball for the majority of the match. We will park the bus and pray.

That's true. This team is just incapable of attacking for any sustained period. Even when we do set up to attack, like Newcastle at home, we're no more effective with the ball and we just look weaker at the back.

Best chance of getting a result is a freak Allardycey 1-0 from our only corner.
