A lot of officials are either one or the other at the top level
Different qualities needed for both
A good linesperson never watches the game per se ,just the lines and what happens on their side of the pitch

Fair enough, but I also think, like a lot of linepersons, she looks at the referee before she raises her flag and makes her decision.

This will be the scenario :-

We will sit deep on our 18 yard box, if we play out they will press and win ball in our half. If we go long their back 4 will dominate a helpless DCL and come back at us wave after wave.

They will dominate possession and although they wont score 1st half they will pick us off 3 or 4 goals in the second half. We will just about manage 2 shots on target as is customary at home this year....

Cant see any other winner... We just dont have the players that are good enough to tie their shoe laces...

Usually in these scenarios the movie plays out with set up ultra defensive setup with us fending off countless attacks until we concede then we panic , make a disorganized couple attacks then they capitalize and open us up further. Hopefully things play out differently.
 
Whoever we play, they need to show a lot more aggression and tempo than recently, or City will take the ****. Play like it means everything, not like it doesn’t really matter! We haven’t played much great football this season, but we have been well organised at times and ground out results, this is certainly a game we will have to grind out. Get stuck in from minute 1! Work harder than we have all season, or expect to lose
 
We're going to win. Just boot it up to the big fellas DCL and Richy and let them do the rest. I can see Stones getting turned inside and out.
 
Can't honestly think of one game this season we were unluckly not to lose,apart from the West Ham game where neither team team deserved to win,we have rode are luck on many occasions and undeservedly come away with all 3 points.....This is 2 games away from a final and at home,we should be looking ahead to it with it being a one off cup game and anything can happen but with what we have witnessed so far this season just not feeling the optimism that our bravehearts will rise to the occasion....

Just think our front two have to press and harry their backline the whole game,they make unforced errors at the back,we really have to target this to have any chance.
