I have to smile reading this thead: all the application of GOT members' tactical and strategic rationale, the febrile passion of Royal Blue supporters. Meanwhile, our team of brave lionhearts are only thinking of their shares or their real estate portfolios. And it will show come game-time.
This team is a difficult one to feel fondness toward...a bunch of obscenely overpaid, spineless bottlers

Listened to Spurs manager yesterday evening calling out his players for playing like they didn't give a fig and the other team did.
I hope our players see that and feel the burning desire to not be judged like that
COYB!!

This is how I would go for the game, doubling up on the wings seemed to work against the sh*te

Yes, I had the same thoughts listening to Mourinho. It could just as easily be comments applied to our regular match-day squad. Difference being Carlo, to date, hasn't pulled that trigger. More of the recent sluggish performances and who knows.

Not a bad XI but I'd play a 4-4-2, leaving Sigurdssen out and putting Nkoukou in at LB. City do a lot of switching the ball from wing to wing. Doubling up on each flank will limit their options in this regard and also make it more difficult for their faster wide players to get past us (Digne in particular has been found wanting in one-on-ones against fast wingers the last month or so). Davies and Allan can be left to protect the centre backs.
Right, only one problem then -- how do we score..........hmmmm.......

You wouldn't think this was two top half premier League teams going against each other would you, welcome to the incredibly bias and geared to certain teams world of premier League football.

When City and Chelsea were allowed to buy who they liked to become part of the established power scene in the top flight, to then say to everyone else, no you can't do that, ruined football, ffp gave City and Chelsea an advantage that is insurmountable, how has this ever been allowed to stand for so long without challenge, ironically City the only club to have challenged it.
