We could batter them 6-0 and the player threads will still be full of negatives.
"Yeah Calvert Lewin got a hat trick, but what about the two sitters that he missed? Could have cost us that game. Needs binning off ASAP"

What is annoying is that in the two highest games this season the two cup quarter finals we’ve arrived at both in our worst states of injury. We were missing nearly every one of our best players against United, and now we’re in the same boat again against City.

It’s no coincidence that in the big performances this season agaisnt top sides we’ve had James Docuoure DCL Richalrsion Digne playing. We just can’t seem to get these players plus Allan all on the pitch together for the big games when we need them.

We’re once again going up against a far better side who are at full strength and we are without our goalkeepers, best midfielder and most creative player.

Said in December that I genuinely thought we'd be lucky to see all of our 'first-choice XI' on the pitch together once or twice for the rest of the season.

I don't think we will at all now.

Just is what it is, it's crap.

Boils down to better recruitment being needed so that next season, hopefully the drop off isn't so great.
 
Thinking outside the box, but what about Godfrey in the middle of the park? He would certainly bring energy, pace and bite to the middle. We could then line up;

Virginia - Coleman, Keane, Mina, Digne - Godfrey, Allan - King, Siggy, Richy - DCL

Sit back, hit em on the counter

We can't play King, he's cup tied.

Godfrey's a defender, and Davies has played well in holding midfield.

Why complicate things?
