We may have but I think a result tonight will turn the tide.

Win this and the belief we can beat Brentford, Palace and Leicester at home will grow dramatically.

And we can take something against both United and Chelsea.

Plus Burnley and Watford face City and the RS respectively in their next game.

We may indeed have days like these again before the end of the sesson but a win tonight and it won’t just be the same sense of dread going into our next game away to Hammers, at least ?
Mate, I know it's St Patrick's Day, but what are you on? If this mob can't beat Wolves at home I really hope you are right about somehow winning tonight. Personally having a few to bring on oblivion.

Distraction I know. St Kieran's College v ArdScoil Rīs just starting. I am a friend of the President of Kieran's. I was at his ordination and worked closely with his Dad, a retired Detective. Should be a good game

I'm (almost) glad I'm not watching. Nerves are shot as it is.

- Everton players, I'm absolutely begging you. Please, please, PLEASE just put it in a performance that makes it look as if you're putting up a big fight. If we're to lose tonight, I would rather lose that way than just inviting pressure, sitting back and then losing an avoidable goal in the dying minutes of the game.

The pressure on this game is astronomical now and this group have shown time and time again they fold under pressure. Whenever Europe has been within touching distance they bottle it. Every game now has that same pressure attached to it and I just struggle to see how these players will show some fight when they've never been able to do it before.
I was talking to a Newcastle fan in the office this morning and after the initial silly banter ("oh, we'll sign Calvert-Lewin as our back up.... blah blah blah") we began talking about the season so far and how it ends. He's so insanely confident about tonight he sees the win as a forgone conclusion. There is no doubt in his mind that they will win easily tonight based on the what he's seen from his team over the last few weeks. He believes they won't lose another game this season. I can't remember the last time I was so sure Everton would win a game.
