These teams aren't a walkover. Similar to England playing Slovakia. England have 11 better players, played them in the Euro's 0-0.

Teams are well organised and hard to break down, all over Europe. Have patience, we'll do it.

Klassen has been the best player by far. He made a couple of questionable decisions as the half wore on, but that probably stems from frustration more than anything else. Rooney, as I had feared, is looking like an old man on the field. He needs to find his feet and get something going because he is really struggling on the ball today.

bit shizer that, calvert-lewin has been our best player for me. You can tell they're a lot fitter than us, already in their season whilst we're a month away. We just lack loads of creativity, as we knew from the last few seasons. Need to see mirallas a bit more, people complain about lack of pace, he's our fastest attacker but been anonymous.

Cuco is proving to be a very shrewd addition. Love how he is linking with DCL down the right. Those two will be a nightmare for opposition teams this season.

The absolute state of some on here thinking we should be 5 nil up already and charging forward non stop.

If you play European games with your heart and not your head, snides like these will take advantage. Pretty sure Korean knows what he's doing like.

yes nothing wins European ties like playing sloppy 'possession' football during the vital home leg

The issue isnt the talent level, its the choice not to press forward. We are simply content in possession, with no real attempt to go forward unless one of their players falls down. We need to take them on, take some chances, and know we will still dominate possession. This game is crying out for Lookman. Our midfield has dominated theirs. But offensively our midfield is sitting very deep, whereas it needs to be pressed forward.

They have realized this, which is why they are pressing further up. They are pressing too far up and making mistakes, assuming we will always back pass. Which has worked, because we have. The moment we turn instead they will be undone.
