Weird, as I stated reading this post I was going to mention beattie. Is it something in a name? All footballers I've seen called Gibson or beattie all seem to be barrel chested.

I was a regular ‘watcher’ at Bellefield for many years and it took no more than 5mins to pick Rooney out. He didn’t do anything in particular. I went home and sent my mate in Australia an e-mail saying i’ve seen something very special and his name is Wayne Rooney. It was obvious.

Robbie Fowler was the same. In those days you were still allowed to play kids Sunday league football, and he used to stand out despite being small for his age.

Yes-they went top friday with a win v west ham,and the following few days results went there way keeping them top-oddly everton are the lowest conceeders with only 2 as well despite us been 4th but we only have 5 goals in 5 league games,,,Brighton have actually only 1 defeat since the 1st week of Jan in all comps,and that was a pen shoot out defeat in april,if you go a touch more back,they have only 5 defeats since this time last year,add to this we have only got out the group stages of this cup comp once in the 4 years and last season we had 2 draws/1 lost from our 3 games before we went out

Brighton have recruited heavily since getting promoted within their academy.
 
Brighton U23 evens with Liverpool (good), Arsenal, Spurs. Rampant v City 5-0, outplayed by West Ham but 2-1 winners. Mostly U21 as usual for PL2. This is the European competition though. In the greater scheme of things it is about young players coming through and Reece-Oxford (WHam) looks the only player I've seen that looks to have potential?

Leicester are top of PL2.

Yep,by a point above Brighton,the current top 2 play each monday night,we could go back top sunday with a win depending on how chelsea do saturday,
