Everton Youth Teams Thread

I thought Adedoyin might have got more chances with U23’s but it’s a pretty big squad. Hoping for some loans out in January for the older ones.
He was injured for the early part of the season , so I don’t think he’s played that many u18 games. Yeah, loans in the January window may muck up a settled team but the older ones need them , and it gives the u18 chance to step up, with the usual rule of thumb if you haven’t played U23s as an u18 you’ll struggle to make it with us.

simms makes it 3-0 on 90

Everton beat Bolton 3-0 in the 1st round of the Lancashire Senior cup with goals from Adedoyin,Phillips and Simms, and now face Rochdale away as Blueloon said earlier,in the Q/F of the L.S.C,in a yet to be decided date.

...great old trophy that one. Simms is scoring some goals, keep it up fella and you’ll be noticed.

From the reports Adedoyin was the star man , scoring a goal , setting up Simms for the third and seemed to pose the most threat to their defence. Good to see him getting back to the form he showed last season.

..sounds very promising but just remembering Jon O’Connor having a similar profile some years ago and even accompanying the full England side for an international at Wembley. O’Connor never fulfilled that promise.

I think Centre half at Premiership level demands physicality as much as quality, it’s very difficult to break through. Hopefully this youngster is the real deal.
