Everton Youth Teams Thread

Who are the players we illegally poached?? 2 year ban is bound to have serious repercussions on our youth teams.
I’m not so sure to be honest. Ok we don’t know how many 12 to 16yr olds we’ve signed if any, over the last couple of years. But I’m sure the club knew this ban was coming, so it’s seems strange we didn’t sign some youngsters in the summer.

We can still sign from abroad and I’m sure Brands will have plenty of young targets.

I think the overseas signings is the plan along with recruitment at 18-25 age group.

Isnt he that little lad with the pointy ears and big nose?
In fairness you’re the first , unlike the constant repetition when people suddenly discover Joe Anderson and “ Mayor” jokes, and Astley and the “ he’s never going to give you up” ones.......but you’re still going to be vaulted when he makes his first team debut :)
Personally I’m surprised Simms has lasted this long in our affections and hasn’t been booed yet, young Lewis Dobbin is clearly the future :D

Couldn't help myself mate;)

I've never seen the kid play so if he is indeed, small with pointy ears and a big nose, I apologise profusely.

He's one of our school kids isn't he?. Part of the England's U16 squad that won the Val de Marne tournament earlier this month. You need to respect any tournament win that includes a French youth team whatever the age.

Was that his first run out in the U18s?. Great for him to get on the score sheet if so.

And Simms will get booed 10 minutes into his first team debut if he hasn't scored mate lol. I know a lot has been said on here about his size etc, but 22 goals in 11 games for the u18s is amazing. In fact, I've not heard of these sort of figures at this level for any club. Not sure if it's possible to check the records for that. Didn't he also get one from the bench for the U23s? And the one game he missed for the U18s is the only game we've lost too.

Far from small with pointy ears mate , he came on as a sub recently , and you can see him in the background when we scored , think it was a game the other week where we scored four goals. First came across his name when he won the u14 Golden boot at a Youdan tournament a couple of years ago , scored 10.

Taking Simms separately, totally agree, irrespective of the “ man against boys “ tag it’s a glut of goals I haven’t seen at this level in recent years , you have to respect that. Equally , the best u18s who score goals are spotted and move up in their second year . There’s a kid at United also u18, Mason Greenwood who’s getting rave reviews and has also scored a bagful of goals this season at u18, but also U19s in Europe and U23s. Think we’re all waiting to see if Simms can do it at U23s next.

Greenwood is really highly rated by united

How are ty browning and brendan galloway doing these days?
Playing in the u23s and probably seeing out their contracts before trying to establish themselves somewhere in the lower Championship or League 1. Browning never really seemed to be up to Premier League standard by Galloway did have a few decent performances that one year so it's a shame it really never clicked for him. Pulis definitely had a negative effect.

...every U23 game i’ve seen Browning has been the standout player. It might say lots about the standard, or he might just be playing very well. I’m always wary of players who’s form picks up when a contract is running down but he’s been good.

Brownings not a youngster anymore and I doubt he has a future here but in his current form, a club might take a chance on him. Galloway doesn’t seem to be involved.
