Virginia, Astley, Feeney, Ouzounidis, Evans, Gibson, Charsley, Adeniran, Sambou, Hornby, Broadhead.

Subs: Bowler, Hewelt, Denny, Markelo, Gordon

What has happened to Baningime? Looked like breaking through last year and was in and around 1st team preseason until injured - now doesn’t seem to be playing any football at all.

Everton 1-1 HT in the Q/F Lancashire senior cup v Rochdale, we took 43rd min lead then conceed on 45mins - cant see team sheet with players for us yet, winner plays Burnley, Blackburn v Accrington stanley is other semi final
3-2 Rochdale it ended,Rochdale got 2 in 2 mins by the hour mark,we got it back to 3-2 on 79 mins from a pen,Our keeper then saved an 85th min pen

As much as its great to see the youth teams doing well, it means absolutley nothing if we are not producing players for the first team.

Most PL clubs now have a very good youngster that has come through their acadamy, actually playing and lokking veru good in the first teams. We only have Davies and after bursting onto the scene, he's really struggled.

We need to start bringing more through.

I think Marcel knows this and I’m expecting a major shake up of the coaching and scouting staff in the summer
The days of jobs for the boys has to end and proper youth team coaches brought in

In all fairness we have brought through far more young players than most academies mate.

Im not talking your Forshaws/Ledsons/Brownings etc. Im talking about another Rooney or Barkley. Someone who will be a regular in years to come

Look at Rice at West Ham, Rashford, TAA, Sessegnon, Gibbs-White, Wan Bissaka, Chillwell etc. A lot of these will be first team players and top ones at that for years to come - saving clubs a fortune. The last special one we had was 2003!

And when was the last time all those clubs got 1 before?

They’re all one-off’s for their club’s just as Rooney was for us.

I'm sorry, but none of those players are close to a Rooney type, only a couple are barkley good. We've produced a lot of youth players into our first team. You can't name the one RS player who's come through in the last ten years... who is still too early to judge on, and slate us. You said most teams have one now and said we only have Davies. So that at least puts us on par, not forgetting Kenny which makes it two.

You're being very unrealistic if you think a Rooney will come through the system every five years.
