Fair enough, but I’ve been following Everton’s youth teams in this competition since it began in the 1950’s, and surely young players will develop while playing in important and strongly contested competitions like this one, there is not much else to play for either this season for these young lads.
Agree. The Youth Cup is always a good measure of the u18s. The depth and technical quality of Chelsea and City over the past five or six years provides a marker we can only dream of achieving. If we get past what appears to be a decent Wigan team , and on recent years that’s no guarantee, we’ll need our best players against City. Let‘s see how the likes of Onyango, Small, Price, Butterfield etc measure up against their peers.

Yeah, have to say they do a decent and unbiased job. They talk like coaches, pick up on things we do wrong/should do better, constructive criticism. Nice change from most homer comentators.

Probably. Big difference now though is the option to watch it on the Club internet channel and the need to get a ticket in advance if you want to go to game.
