The Athletic had been saying for a while he is very much weighing up his options, and contract talls have been going nowhere. And considering thats the uber positive news site who was very bullish that Small was going to stay, he's probably already got one foot out the door.

I don't think that highly of dobbin but it'd be yet another nail in the academy coffin of he does go.

Really, i think he is one of the better players we have myself, but gets a lot of Injuries to be fair it seems, but as ever its always about a game of options

Why would Dobbin stay? He's not even being considered as an 80th min sub for when Rondon has physically passed into a different realm.

…not sure I’d ever see Dobbin as an out and out striker against PL CBs.

Dobbin has done well on occasions from u16 upwards for England , he was in the England U19s in October , but Dobbin, Welch and Onyango are not in the current England squads , which is a bit worrying as they are the three who you’d deem closest to the first team. They’ve got some good England attackers at that level including Jebbison the Sheff Utd youngster who scored against us.
Despite his undoubted talent both Cannon and Whitaker are out scoring him in the U23s .
