If the duke is out for some time I'd like to see Warrington get into the team or squad - in fact, I'd like to see a few of that youth side be given opportunities to get us out of the mess we are in.
I'd have more faith in Warrington, Dobbin, Branthwaite, Patterson and Simms playing for the shirt than the dross of senior pros we have, who have consistently let us down already this season.
I'm also sure it would get the fans up for it and more vocal.

If Doucoure is out , his most obvious replacement from the youngsters is Tyler Onyango, at the moment he’s ahead of Warrington in that respect.

Agree, but I'd have Warrington ahead of Delph/Gomes and the rest of the shirking senior pros - the kids should be getting more 1st team minutes the way the senior pros have performed this season.

i think its more the type of midfielder he is than anything else. dont think hes athletic or fast enough for the PL but should have solid career.

Be interesting to see how Unsworth rejigs the lineup with Broadhead and Simms on loan and Dobbin possibly with the first team. Leaves Cannon as the only striker over the age of 17 at the academy. Could be a big chance for one of Sherif, Lawrence or Okoronkwo at some point. Or at least one of the U18s as Garcia not been seen for a while, Kouyate out for season and Whitaker looking like he has an injury
This us more worrying than any Everton performance I’ve seen this year.
If we’re relying on the players listed to keep us up its far more serious than I thought.
They’re miles away from playing in the PL week in, week out, right now.

Keane and Coleman should be too! honestly don't think Brainthwaite and Patterson would let us down any more than them in games here and there.
Mills has played just about every other position. Maybe he'll get a run up front!
I agree with regards to them 2, I just don’t with regards to them all.
Simms for me is never ever going to be a regular player for us in the premier league. Dobbin is some way away as is Warrington.
I like the look / sound the 2 you mention but the other 3 aren’t going to save us in a relegation battle right now.
I think people are generally realistic in how far away from regular starting spots most of the youngsters are , it’s the frustration from the original post “ the dross of senior pros we have, who have consistently let us down already this season.” that we all feel. Sadly throwing in a bunch of underprepared youngsters who are not ready won’t solve the problem. People are just frustrated. I enjoyed the U23s game the other nightpurely for what it was , a bunch of our young players putting in a decent, workmanlike performance against a well matched Spurs team. Patterson just needs help to adjust to the PL, Branthwaite was surprisingly sloppy on occasions , Dobbin is similar to Gordon two years ago, bursts of pace, class and skill with a bit of patience needed as he develops. While others are not ready, I do like the principle of getting them training with the first team on occasions.
