Thanks for this analysis, leaves me a little more hopeful for the future. As an aside, It's good to see so many are playing in the age group above - let's hope the restructuring and new incoming management means that a clearer pathway will start to appear, once the fat is trimmed from the first-team squadHi mate. That has certainly been a hypothesis I've had. For a long time we have built technically decent, hard working well drilled players, who will have decent careers in the football league, but ultimately not do much at the very top level. So it's a bit of a concern.
I think the latest crop are a little different, Onyango is 6 ft 5 already (and may even get to 6ft 6) which is enormous and there has been a big focus on him. I know Reece Welch is around 6 ft 3 having just turned 18 so again may get to 6 ft 4 hopefully. The 15 year old Sheriff who is very raw but is about 6 ft 2/3 at 15, so again will be massive.
Dobbin is really quick so again he sticks out a bit. So there might be a shift.
Metcalfe was one I mentioned 18 months ago,and is a terrific little footballer, but again it's a question of size. Lawrence looks to be about 5 ft 11, and has natural movement of a forward and thinks like a goalscorer. He is one who will probably end up well over 6 ft and I think is the best prospect we have (he is an under 16 remember).
The only one of that starting line up where I’d say his size is going to prevent him progressing is Nash , he’s very intelligent, good distribution but seems surprisingly small even at 17. Let’s face it, we know they won’t all make it ,some like Butterfield and Djankpata look like they need to fill out a bit, but of the other eight none at this stage look like their size will be an issue if they have the other attributes.Hi mate. Onyango could reach six foot eight or more will he have the talent to match it?Hi mate. That has certainly been a hypothesis I've had. Sherif has just gone close again shooting wide, I would say it has only seemed a matter of time till we score, so we probably wont lol

Dixon looks strong, not as chunky as Small was but has good pace, the other full back Samuels-Smith at 15 is big enough to play centre back for England, Jack Tierney looks about 6 ft 2 when alongside Okoronkwo who’s supposedly 6 ft 3 ins and certainly looks it. Metcalfe too has grown in the past year and is looking to be 6ft ish . The nice thing about Sherif and particularly Okoronkwo is that it’s not just about their size there‘s a good level of skill there, they’re not just bullying smaller players, which augurs well.

Do you think Metcalfe looks set to be 6ft? I haven't see him for a while, but didn't seem that way to me.
Well I wouldn’t argue if you said he was 5 ft 11 , but going on the Scholars photos, goal celebrations early in the season he’s bigger than the smaller midfielders like Heath, smaller than Sherif, roughly same height as Mallon , not much smaller.Do you think Metcalfe looks set to be 6ft? Must admit I wouldn’t describe Metcalfe as small and stocky .He's still quite small height wise, stocky enough though

Edit: A quick Google and he comes up as 1. 83 m , 6 foot , albeit these sites may not always be accurate ?
I don't think he looks anywhere near 6ft
