Me too. Massive gap for us to send up to 4 players and for them to move up with them. Harder now that our oldest players are 17/18 though. Louie Barry is perfect example of how loans aren't the answer at that sort of age

Billy Crellin , 21 year old goalkeeper from Fleetwood seems to be the only other Youth move. An odd one , given that Tyrer hasn’t been loaned out . But no transfer window is complete without us signing a young goalie or two.

Only just getting round to watching the Spurs game and it's a real shame Astley never got that loan move to Tranmere to learn off someone like Peter Clarke. Just feel it's pointless having him in the U23's now but I don't believe he's fit for the PL, at least not yet. I'm sure he put a good word in after the game though with the likes of Astley and Warrington going for moves there.

He’s a big example of how our poor our recruitment at academy level is.
How he and Joe Geldhart, plus a few others, have been allowed to slip out of the NW for basically nothing in recent years is a sad indictment of where our academy recruitment is currently at.
I expect we’ll see it happen again this summer.
