Callum Connolly and Kieran Dowell are both in the England U17 squad for the Algarve tournament in the summer.

The Algarve tournament in particular is used to get a feel of the U16's who will be getting scholarships this summer; Dowell and Connolly. Basically a "show us what you've got" tournament.

In the bits and pieces of live coverage and highlights of the youth teams ive watched Ryan Ledson always seems to stand out. Consistent, smart and with that little bit extra about him.
He doesn't seem to get a mention too often when talked about who might make the first team squad.
Then again it seemed everybody was surprised when Browning was mentioned as closest to being promoted.
Its a tough business predicting who will make it. Its definitely an exciting time now knowing theyll get every chance.

He always gets a mention from me, the raps on the kid are huge. but he's only 16 and theres plenty of time for thing to go wrong. I would have earmarked him, kenny and donahue as first team players. Im still not convinced that green will make it
