….seen a few who run with head/shoulders pronounced over the ball, my old teammate Jimmy Case was one and he could seriously strike a football.

Haaland runs with a bit of hunch - I’ll take that 😂
 
During Covid, there was kid who on my Instagram feed doing all sorts of tricks and drills and I remember thinking wouldn’t it be great if Everton could sign a young talent like that.

Well, it turns out that he actually is an Everton player and seems to have been involved in that Geneva Cup. Harry Brookes is his name and I haven’t seen him mentioned anywhere else so he must be a year or two younger than the rest of the squad but one maybe to keep an eye out for! I think he was wearing number 18

Regarding the U18 PL Cup , we’ve to play West Ham at home , Forest away to complete the Group fixtures. Usually there are 7 Groups , so Group Winners pus one best 2nd best placed team go through to 1/4 finals . Last season we finished 2nd to City in our group and so went out.
My Optimism Swingometer is rising rapidly for these young u18s..
 

A match report from Southampton, with team . They have Finney as a goalscorer but it could well have been Aled Thomas who they have down as “ Aled” , also “ Graham Braiden” as a goalscorer.

Everton: Lukjanciks, Lambert (Freeman 50), Van Schoor, Finney, Aled (c), Foster (Aharakiri 78), Wren, Gardner, Loney (Stewart 78), Braiden (Matos 68), Catesby.

Subs not used: Gospel-Eze.

Yeah Saints have 5 but only report 4 goals. The Weasley Twins are banging tnem in too , tis magic 🙂. Amazing to see 11 out of 12 1st years in that squad, presumably Poland still injured.
