God that ball took an eternity to come down for the winner, I was holding my breath even though I knew the score.
We have now beaten the other lot at every level this season - only the first team can keep it going ......God that ball took an eternity to come down for the winner, I was holding my breath even though I knew the score.
….he’s very raw, Joey. For those who watched him a fair bit last season we were blown away with his running power but he lacks quality and defensive experience.
Fair play to Dyche for selecting him, I doubt many others would’ve done at his stage of development but he’s a fair way short even for those of us who like the lad. Training daily with first team will do him the world of good. Patterson will probably be ahead of him in the pecking order now.
lol he only picked him cos he was the only full back at the club available, binned him as soon as others were back.
It's turned out well, has it not ? Heard the lad wants away because of Dyche .....….thats fair but last season he’d be playing CBs at RB before Patterson, Garner also an option. Young is a better option than Dixon so was always going to come back in when fit.

How much will we get for Ashley Young or the other full back =ZERO….if we can get money for Patterson, it’ll be most welcome but I doubt there’d be many takers. I also doubt he’d leave given the daft contract he’s on here.

They should have paid us, loads of clubs in for him at the time, but we beat a massive queue for him = nil queue.....….we got Young on a free, Joey, the club will want to keep hold of him until his contract ends. Sadly, at this point in time he’s the best we have.

It's the main reason where we are plus a crap manager!….its sad isn’t it but that’s the state of our player acquisition.
Exactly. He left because he was told there were two players ahead of him, he wouldn't be playing and wouldn't even be on the bench. From his point of view he was right to leave. He is only 4 years younger than Digne, at the time we had a 25 year old Lucas Digne as our left back.
I figured Roberts actually had a decent chance of stepping up to get some minutes in the midfield. In the pre-season tournaments he looked on par with Akarikiri and the like.Roberts probably has the tougher task with Graham, Morgan, Loney ahead of him but he too looks a talent and Olayiwola certainly looks highly promising . Someone asked his age earlier, it’s often difficult to get DoB info on the u16s but as Olayiwola is now with England u16 it means he must still be 15 on 31st December , 16 in 2025 .
Letting Robinson go wouldn't be seen as anywhere near as disastrous if the next 3 (!) Highly rated left backs hadn't all also walked out the door for basically nothing. Or if we had adequately replaced Digne. Or just not sold Digne.Exactly. He left because he was told there were two players ahead of him, he wouldn't be playing and wouldn't even be on the bench. From his point of view he was right to leave.
