Finney will be a good full-back in the future. Got a great cross on him.
Roberts probably has the tougher task with Graham, Morgan, Loney ahead of him but he too looks a talent and Olayiwola certainly looks highly promising . Someone asked his age earlier, it’s often difficult to get DoB info on the u16s but as Olayiwola is now with England u16 it means he must still be 15 on 31st December , 16 in 2025 .Going into the season I would probably have said Roberts… haven’t seen him in a while though?
Was a shame Robinson came through while we still had capable left backs.
Yes but they must be faster running than the two we have - Dixon far better or Patterson & ano at left back ?…Antonee Robinson probably the last LB we brought through, Joey. Young has arguably been our best player this season, I suppose there’s an argument to play him at LB and give Dixon a run at RB.

Being slow means you get outpaced - just tell me what did Dixon do wrong?….sadly, being fast doesn’t mean you can also play football at the highest level.
Agree with that but I also remember that Antonee when he was with us was great going forward but prone to some defensive mistakes - switching off, caught out of position etc. He left because his path to the first team was blocked but his development into the player he is today is almost completely down to him and the work he put in at Wigan and Fulham.….but Baines was coming to the end. I remember posting that he was worth keeping as back-up but I think his injury record swayed the club to move him on.

He had a very good game - dropped - the Catt swore by developing youngsters - Dyche prefers OAPs oldest slowest team in the prem !….he’s very raw, Joey. For those who watched him a fair bit last season we were blown away with his running power but he lacks quality and defensive experience.
Fair play to Dyche for selecting him, I doubt many others would’ve done at his stage of development but he’s a fair way short even for those of us who like the lad. Training daily with first team will do him the world of good. Patterson will probably be ahead of him in the pecking order now.

He is only 4 years younger than Digne, at the time we had a 25 year old Lucas Digne as our left back.Agree with that but I also remember that Antonee when he was with us was great going forward but prone to some defensive mistakes - switching off, caught out of position etc. He left because his path to the first team was blocked but his development into the player he is today is almost completely down to him and the work he put in at Wigan and Fulham.
Maybe having that sort of character, as well as his natural talent, should have persuaded us to create a path into the team for him. That requires planning and forward thinking, something we've not been blessed with over the recent past.
We will never find out ? Even Coleman injured on the bench plus two keepers never going to use those 3 for a start -Dyche is indefensible I have had better managers at school house teams TBH at school - if you can't see that after the experience you have had - plus any good youngsters are sent out on loan our next Dave Watson Walsh? Came on pre-season & that lad looked capable in any defensive position - sent out on loan like others ....…sadly, Joey, there isn’t the conveyor belt of Joe Royle, Tommy Wright, Colin Harvey, Jimmy Husband, John Hurst, Alan Whittle etc. I’m 100% sure Dyche would love Academy players of that quality but kids don’t play footy like we did in the ‘60s. Rooney probably the last of the street footballers.
Near the relegation zone is not the highest level ....….sadly, being fast doesn’t mean you can also play football at the highest level.
