Continue to be impressed with Thomas, he passes the eye test more than almost any of these. Must be 6’4+ and left footed, I think he’s got arguably the best chance of any of this group.

1-0 to Everton at half time , some tidy performances from Heath, Benjamin, Welch and Thomas . Nobody looking exceptional , Heath maybe standing out .Ebere continues to look fast without the ball but little composure when he gets the opportunity. A solid performance so far and deserving of the lead.

I think Thomas just looks a cut above at times. Not really been tested here but there’s moments where you can just see wha the might become. Tracking back off our corner as well and he surprised me how quick he is as well.

Welch really needs to go back out on loan , he’s looked composed and hate to say it but we might keep him to help Thomas develop alongside him. And of course Thomas is 3 years younger than Welch.

….didn’t realise Welch was back, I’ve not been impressed since those promising early days and his loans seem to have been a bit of a disaster.

Encouraged by the Thomas reports, @SuperKev91 is clearly impressed. I must have a closer look at him.

I think Reece could still have a decent career in fairness, good size and he’s not slow. Just lacks a little bit of needle and real aggression to be top level.

I'd be very shocked if Thomas is bigger than 6"2

Doesn’t look far off Welch and he’s a good 6’5. I think Barnsley is like 6’5/6 as well and he doesn’t look tiny in comparison.

Compared to the u18s our u21s are less flexible up front , just a lone striker throughout . Benjamin for me is wasted out wide he proved at Arsenal and with us he can tuck the ball into the net, I’d love to see him switched into the middle more ..
