Everton Youth Teams Thread

The draw for the quarter-final of the FA Youth Cup has been made, with ties set to be played by Saturday 8 March 2025.

1
Fulham or Arsenal v Manchester United or Chelsea
2 West Bromwich Albion v Leeds United or Manchester City
3 Aston Villa or Bristol City v Everton or Plymouth Argyle
4 Watford or Tottenham Hotspur v Southampton or Derby County
Our first away of the tournament, assuming we beat Plymouth. At least we've avoided City, United and Chelsea for now.

That will be a tough one if we beat Argyle, Villa have a decent u18 team and are top of the South u18 League , but we sometimes pull off surprises in the Youth Cup against supposedly superior teams. United will be clear favourites though .

I doubt that moves the needle much on PSR, so I hope it means the powers that be are seeing a considerably higher ceiling with some of the next crop coming up on the wing like Catesby, Stewart, Wren etc

….i think it just comes to a point with young players where you have to decide whether to keep them or not, Mills is 21 and his contract is up in the summer.

Just a case of doing the right thing for the player and hopefully putting more clauses on it that the extended Father Christmas family meal.

Shame he got hurt when he did. I was never at any point as high on him as others were but he definitely could've kicked on more if not for that horrific injury
Was thinking the timing of his injury was especially bad at 20.
Being out for basically a year has really robbed any chance he had of breaking into the 1st team imo.
Now he’s 21 he needs to be playing regularly so I’m not surprised a perm move has come about.
Hopefully we’ve put a decent sell on clause in as well to hedge our bets.
