Everton Youth Teams Thread

Couldn't tell yesterday ( due to camera angle ) if Broadhead was playing RW. Brewster certainly impressed me with his work rate and ability to make the ball stick and bring others into play, especially 2nd half down to 10 men

Broadhead stayed on the left side most of yesterday's match, but he may have shifted right or central after Yarney was dismissed. I think it was #14 on the right prior to the dismissal; after #16 (Harrington?) dropped to CB and #8 (Kersey?) rotated wide with Beni central in a 4-4-1. Seems like the RW was played by a FB; Denny played wide right when he came on for Morris.

Cheers mate ;)

Trying to get updates from this evenings game is terrible. One bloody tweet from Everton nearly an hour ago

Really poor from the club imo, they have an opportunity to increase interest in the youth teams at a time when not much else is going on and if anything give less coverage than they usually do! The players media diaries are great but why not get one of the same team producing those, or even one of the players not in the squad, to tweet updates?

Good idea that LL, surely there's someone there in an Everton capacity which could tweet what's going on. Like you mention, that video posted from that fella is better than anything we seen yesterday lol

Yep the red card wasn't even a foul

Brewster was livid at this, and Beni was pretty hot too. Surprised that Beni wasn't sent off minutes later for a strong tackle (that probably was a foul) and the Ref decided to take no action on a cheap shot that Brewster delivered shortly after this event that sent a Tigres player into the officials' box.

Important to win and rack up some goals Wednesday. Three group winners and second-place with best goal difference advance to the semifinals Friday.

Today's match was on a college intramural field so not surprised there isn't any video. If they make it to Friday the game is at FC Dallas's stadium and certainly there would be a stream of that.

.....good on Brewster, the way the team set up he's often isolated and has to make things happen by feeding on scraps. Interesting to see Phil Jevon's on the coaching staff. When Colin Harvey managed that outstanding youth side, Jevon's had a real workhorse role in playing alongside Cadamarteri when we had the ball but becoming an extra midfielder when the opposition had it. It was a very successful team model.
