Everton Youth Teams Thread

And other squads announced too .:
U21 , Galloway and Holgate in a defense that looks like it comprises of players who have all played in the PL so tough to get in there.
U20 , the usual suspects of Connolly , Kenny, and Ledson now joined , at last, by Kieran Dowell.
U 19 posted previously , Davies , Holland and Evans.

Can't help but think that if Oxford had a 19 year old England u 20 player in their team that PL clubs would be looking to pick him up. For his sake, I hope the Ledson deal comes back to bite us.
But great news for Kieran Dowell and all the others selected.
Makes you wonder whether it's something non football related that's forced our hand. I hope not, but it's happened before with other academy starlets. If it is for football reasons, can't help but think we have acted hastily here. Either way, I'd like to believe we have been professional enough to put some form of buy back/sell on clause into the contract.

ENGLAND U20s: @kierandowell1 named in Young Lions squad for Brazil friendly but @jonjoekenny8 and @Callum1connolly withdraw through injury.
Hmm, that's an odd one. Both played 90 mins last night and got a mention from Unsy, 2nd game in four days since coming back. Brazil game is 4th Sept, and we have the Bolton game on Tuesday, so we're either being very cautious with them or didn't manage their return carefully enough. While both Connolly and Kenny need to continue developing, either would be capable of being in the mix for providing cover for Coleman, Brazil would have been another step up to measure their progress against.
