Everton Youth Teams Thread

As ever with our youngsters he comes over well. I believe they are wrong though regarding winning PL2 giving entry into the UEFA Youth Champions League. That is , or has been , an U19s competition played between the same teams in the Champions League, hence a poor Leicester youth team played this year. Unless of course there is a new competition for U23s.

If it is the same as this year we wouldn't get an automatic place but would go into the Domestic Champions Path which means 2 rounds of qualifiers to win a place in the group stage.

Ok you may be right but isn't that the criteria for the u18s League? I don't recall Man Utd who won last year's u21 playing in any specific competition as a result of winning.

I am sure it's changed pal, I'm not 100% certain but something has definitely changed.

Oh yeah, think you may be correct, though most of the things I read on it are contradicted by the next thing I read!

I think you're right mate. The Uefa competition is definitely for the younger lads so can't see the under 23 league being a qualifying route for it. The only thing I can think of is the Premier League International cup, but we have played in for the last couple of seasons.

Its the u23s 5th game from 6 tonight in the premier league cup group stage,an Everton win away to Norwich u23s will confirm the u23s are through to the last 16 of the comp,if they lose tonight, they still have a good chance of going through, provided they win at Portsmouth u23s on Monday 27th feb

7PM KICK OFF
NORWICH U23S V EVERTO U23S

Will this be televised anywhere do you know??
