Everton Youth Teams Thread

...I thought Holgate played well yesterday but it would be good if Kenny gets some game time. He's just the type of character to grasp an opportunity if it arises.

If you look at young Davies last season, even just a couple of games (and 1 start) were really able to help him kick on. Of course it doesn't always work like that, Dowell and to a lesser degree Connolly (though he looked like he wasn't quite ready to me) didn't kick on as expected so there's no guarantee. However I agree with you, he's always been very strong mentally and would be a great asset to us.

is definitely be giving Kenny some game time after yesterday's result pretty much means we'll struggle to finish any higher.

Perhaps not the Chelsea game but definitely a couple out of the last 3.

Good news that the U13 team won the Premier League International Cup.
Arguably the most prestigious youth tournament around at that age. Don't know the details yet but Real/Barca/City/Chelsea usually all participate.

Edit - Our group was Benfica, Arsenal and WBA.
Sporting Lisbon also took part.

Right not much info out. We beat Benfica in the group stage.
Seems to be made up of U12 tournament winners from year before. Arsenal, Sunderland, Wolves, WBA and us from England.
Calling it now, current U13 team is the next golden generation as they seem to have won all the tournaments open to them (Futsal, PL tournament and International Cup) on the PL website.
Last group to do that are current generation coming through.

A couple of years ago was on a forum, can't remember what team it was. Could have been a team one of our youngsters was on loan at.

Seen a post about a youth tournament some guy had been watching the day before. And he mentioned an Everton under10 team. And also said one Everton player was the stand player in the tournament.

i dont think we sent an u14 team to the milk cup last year for some reason, hopefully it was a one off and this group will take part.
our teams that win that usually produce us a player like barkley and davies.

I would go 3 at the back against Chelsea with Holgate RCB and Kenny RWB it means we don't have to drop Holgate to give Kenny a chance. I would give Davies a rest as he had played most games since the turn of the year and need to keep him from burn out.

Have you heard much about the two lads we lost at what I thought was under 12's to City? (May be under 13's though, hope not!)

It looks like City may get an 18 months ban, which if true should help us keep our teams together a bit better!

3 at the back didn't work out so well vs Chelsea last time...
