Evertons Net Spend under David Moyes

That's true but it also applies the other way with regard to loan fee's. Although we are prolific loaners.

For me the big firesales have been due to overstretching on the wages more than anything.

Most of the players we have seen leave have been the big earners.

Our loan incomings would take out a lot more than our loan outgoing bring in.

And yes, wages, again blurring any clarity. You forget that the bulk of costs are wages.

I was just trying to add context.

And as I said, its something that interested me, so thought I would share.

If you wanna dismiss it all and claim ive pulled figures from my anus, thats your right as a poster on the forum, I dont give it no nevermind personally.

Nah the gist of your figures is very true. I'm not really sure what you want this thread to achieve though.

You said it's not a thread to compare our finances with other clubs or to pat David Moyes on the back. It's certainly not a thread to enlighten us all as I assumed it was basically common knowledge.

Its common knowledge that we have spent 5.6m in 11 Years?

Why didnt you say, I could have saved myself the effort.

Words I never thought I would say on this Forum :"If you dont like the thread, dont read the thread mate".

Well no that's not common knowledge, because it's not really true.

Moyes has been "Time rich" to quote Davek which could arguably balance the net spend if a youth plan like Southamptons had been implemented - but it wasn't.

How can that shocking Liverpool side be getting 135mil a year in wage?
As for the turnover side of it, wages are not that bad for us compared to the majority of similar turnover clubs.
I think regarding the op the theory that we overspent and then had to give some money back is fairly obvious behind the 2009.. Oh and if its a Moyes thanking, Bill slating post in thin disguise.. I'm in. Well done Moyes.. boo the board.

How did Moyes know how long he was going to be there?
Regardless I thought we spent a load of money on our youth team didn't we? Hence the likes of Rodwell, Barkley, Duffy

but you have to ask with moyes spending very little, why arent we lloking better financially, most other clubs would of been debt free if they had run the way we have been for the last decade, but we still seem to be owing banks money.

Cause we're operating with wages making up a ridiculous proportion of revenues, like every other PL club.

Seriously, if Goat wanted to praise Moyes and boo Bill he'd come out and do so straight rather than try and do so whilst hiding behind an "informative" thread.

Rufus is right that you can't go by just transfer fees but from the other charts Goat postet it doesn't appear as if we pay out in agents fees and wages to turnover ratio any more than most Prem clubs.

So they can't be the answer as to why we didn't buy a first team player for 2 and a half years.

So i'm assuming Goat is simply asking why we went from having money to spend on transfers to not having money on transfers. Sure, maybe he does have an ulterior motive and he wants someone to say its because kenwrong is trousering the money, or maybe its just a reasonable question to ask.

can i ask how us getting a new stadium would help us financially? i know the obvious reason would be to attract investors/buyers, but apart from that, this will not generate more money for us? you look at arsenal and of course it has helped them, because before their ground was too small for their fans + tourists. however, you look at us and we don't sell out anymore because the tickets prices continuously go up and hence less fans can afford it. therefore, this would still be the same problem if we were to have a brand spanking new stadium which would almost certainly see ticket prices go up further to cover the few hundred million loaned. another main reason that it has benefited arsenal is because they are situated in the capital, london, a world famous tourist destination. no offence to the locals on here but liverpool is not exactly a holiday people undertake.

sorry if i'm getting this wrong, could anyone clarify this situation?

I dont buy into the "Kenwrong stealing money" line of thinking, im fairly sure it would be very difficult to do, without leaving a MASSIVE money trail that somebody would have found by now.

The black hole that is OOC makes this an easy route to go down.

But im not claiming money is dissapearing, I am claiming that our Board and "money people" are utterly clueless tho, but if I wanted to make a thread saying that, as death says, I would, also if I wanted to praise Moyes, the thread would be titled, "David Moyes, SUPERSTAR.

Its clear the context of the thread means its open to Board bashing and Moyes praising, both of which im very open to.

It was just something I wanted to work out and so I shared it with others, who may also find it interesting.

I was hoping the thread would turn into a "What did happen in 09", The Cup Final, Europa League, wage increases due to long runs in Cups, bonuses.

But on reflection ive clearly made everything up and I should be infracted for making such a pointless thread totally lacking in accredited transfer fees sanctioned by FIFA.

Forgive me.

Increasing corporate capacity and such are the main attraction of a new stadium rather than increasing the capacity for your typical fan I think.
