Max aborts again - 8th. Like usual, he lets off a volley of abuse at his engineers, the petulant the tit.

They realised that he wouldn't have enough fuel for them to do a sample at the end of qualifying, so they had to abort and lower the MPG/fuel usage.

His post-qualifying commentary was damming of the team, and to some extent he's right - it shouldn't have happened.

It went along the lines of, "We make mistakes together. I make mistakes. BUT, it shouldn't have happened, and it's not good enough."

Maybe if he hadn't made mistakes on the lap he aborted beforehand and had to do another, it wouldn't have happened either. His obnoxious attitude annoys me.

The rain is horrific at the moment, so they've delayed the start. It'll be interesting if the rain stops and how quickly the track dries.

Just said on the TV that the track does not dry very well but drains well. I suppose that means standing water goes but the surface remains wet ?‍

That's pretty much it. I actually like the idea of a wet track as it'll spice the race up, a lot.

From the scheduled start time, they have three hours according to Sky F1.

It used to be 3 hours from when it actually started, so long as the racing doesn't exceed 2 hrs.
If it's been changed to 3 hrs from proposed start time we may have another Spa fiasco.

I think it maybe a unique regulation to Singapore.

The race is downtown, mixed residential and business. Offices are all open tomorrow and people need to sleep so 11pm is Government cut off not F1.

There is some debate about potential length of race owing to confusion in the sporting regulations. We are being told that the three-hour window is from the new, not original, start time. So if the race starts at 21:05, it must finish by 00:05 (17:05 UK).

Sky were adamant it was from the original race time, per the rules. Once again, we have a situation where there’s uncertainty over the regs.

The FIA sometimes show they don’t know their arse from their elbow, or choose to appear to not do so.
