Benson reckons that it's looking like a walkover for Red Bull at the moment.

Mercedes clearly don't understand their car very well and unable to get it anywhere near its maximum potential when it suffers from so much purposing, but I'm sure that that's just the visual tip of the iceberg and there is lots of stuff going on underneath that's very difficult for the layperson to understand

Have to say that I've always detested DTS. It always seemed fake as hell to me, and by the sounds of it all they've done is double down on that in this season. I won't be watching it.

For a team that apparently focused on this year’s car to the detriment of upgrades for last season’s, it’s not a good outcome if the reports are true.

I wonder if they’ve simply gone too left field.

It took them a while to get to grips with last year's car too though. The only thing is RB shot themselves in the foot in those early races. If the points could be shared around and we don't get Max winning the first 3/4 races then it opens the door for Mercedes to get a handle on it in time. If RB do win all those then it's pretty much game over.

Yeh am a big believer in the merc team to turn it around pretty quickly. Suspect it may take abit longer than usual as looks like a few issues and not just pace as in previous testing first practices.

Even if max is winning the first few, we need hamilton to be getting podiums. If he isn’t getting podiums then it probably is game over early.

They darkened the shade of red slightly this season so at least it isn’t kopite signature red any more.

I always felt inclined to hate them like it was some sort of natural reaction. I don’t mind them now.

Can't bring myself to like anything red.
Just makes my skin crawl.

Ricciardo's season off to a stinker.
The McLaren looks nowhere on this track
