F1 2024 (and other motorsport) thread

Danica Patrick saying she likes watching this side of Max, that it's good drama. Wonder if she'll like it at Sao Paolo next week when it's not going his way and he torpedoes someone like he nearly did today. 220mph, life and death stuff, but oh he's so exciting.

To be fair Americans tolerance for dangerous racing is a lot higher than over here in Europe. She's driven in Indycar and been involved in wrecks like this.



A wreckless divebomb from Max probably seems relatively safe compared to what she was used to.

You [Poor language removed] wet wipe.
It's absolutely disgraceful how crap F1 has become. It's not about racing anymore, it's more like who can moan the most. I don't disagree with Max's penalties today but I'm sick to the back teeth of every single week that we have to listen to Zak brown trying to get the fia to bend the rules to suit him.
Max will walk away from F1 by the way.

F1 is in a very good place at the moment, this season has turned out to be very competitive and given the sport the boost it needed after the total domination of Verstappen last season.

We've had Red Bull be the fastest car, then McLaren and now Ferrari with Mercedes also winning a few races. You can't really ask for more.

F1 has always had fighting between teams and lots of moaning and grassing, it's a core part of the sports DNA that will never go away. It's a massively political sport.

It would be very odd for Max to walk away from the sport because of the rules, sports car racing is far stricter with driving standards and that's what he wants to focus on after F1.

F1 is in a great place and doesn't need Max. You can swear at me all you want but sending it into a corner and not being arsed about the consequences is insane.

Not sure posting clips of someone's fatal accident is really necessary to prove a point. It also is completely incomparable to Verstappen's antics. Poor form imo.
