From what I saw of qualifying, he was preparing for his own lap and he could only go that far or he'd exceed track limits himself, with the other car on the inside.
Rubbish way for Lewis to go out in his final qualifying with Mercedes. Such a freak incident to scupper his last lap
If Hamilton can get a podium finish here it would be fantastic… don’t think he can get it though, bit if a tough ask

Very happy for Lewis, shame he couldn’t get a podium finish but great race. Great race from LeClerc too.
But mainly happy for McLaren. Faultless drive from Lando.
Was a pretty great season in general. Looked like it was going to be a bit of a bore fest early on but it got better and better.

Shame the McLaren upturn / Red Bull dropoff didn't come about a little earlier in the season but hopefully it's all up in the air next year and Ferrari & Mercedes can make it 4 genuinely competitive teams.
Plenty of driver movement and new faces which hasn't always been the case as well.
