I don’t honestly see what he brings to the team. He’s slow, can’t tackle, injury prone and can only pass backwards and sideways.

Gareth Barry is still probably 10 times the player he is.

Apart from his own clear deficiences, I get the impression that hes disruptive and clearly has arrogant delusions of grandeur about his own talent. Stick him in the Departure Lounge tray with the other midfield sideways passing leeches on hopefully their final calls

I honestly thought this was a good value signing to soak some minutes, provide injury cover and bring in a veteran with a good reputation from a winning side to help develop younger players.

I never dreamt that his attitude would be a problem, but watching the matches it seems very likely that it is.
