I still stand by that he won’t make it to May.

Of course he won't mate. We just need him to try and be available for 50% ofbthe remaining games as just a couple of performances like today will give us a greater chance of victory.

The man's body doesn't allow him to string 3 games together, let alone 9.

He was great today, fantastic actually but I'll be glad to have him off the wage bill

He was class today. Plays that role so well. Just unfortunately he can’t play the 9 games of the season we need him to play as injuries and stats say it just can’t happen. His experience was vital. The little touches and passes and blocks he made was vital. He is a class act when he wants to be. I can see why we signed him from that performance today, I’m just annoyed when never seen it week in week out. He shits all over Gomes.

Waiting for the injury to be announced….
I was trying to work out whether it was a tactical substitution or an injury. He did not seem to be struggling while coming off, but the physio was there.

As others have said, he offered calmness and experience on the ball, so it was a positive performance for me. He could be useful to have for the run in.

We need as many players fit as possible to ensure we can field the strongest XI and have fresh legs.

I think Van de beek could do a similar job in there to Delph, but with more legs and a better passing range. But he was integral to the win today. Disciplined and composed on the ball. Didnt chase the ball but worked hard and led by example. I was surprised he lasted 80 minutes I thought he would be subbed on the hour.
