Sits too deep in the first half, we lost control and momentum in the first half because of that. A coward performance to be honest, a slow and clumsy midfielder always has a tendency to fall deeper than required and disrupt the system. Clearly instructed to push higher in the second half and we had much better control.

Like the rest of em....like a snail. Slow to react, slow to love the ball and slow in general. A couple of decent 50/50 tackles near the end but that's about it

blob on, sat too deep, left iwobi and Allan exposed to midfield runners/beeing passed around, didn't offer for the ball off the defence and when he did he was too deep so just 'wall passed' it, pretending to be billy big bollox

It’s all opinions like but I just can’t get my head round that. They completely massacred us in midfield, it was a disaster zone.

As I said in my last comment. Lampard should know how Leicester set up. Should have played 3 in midfield.

Delph sitting with 2 of Allan/VDB/Doucore dealing with Maddison etc.

Gray offered nothing.

I’m not saying it was his fault, just that I don’t think you can say someone’s had a good game when they get completely overrun like that. Gray has offered nothing for about 4 months now.

Agree 100% on Gray.

Yes, we got overrun. Anyone knows what Leiceste’s strengths are. Lampard totally at fault. Delph did his job. If he goes charging out to close Maddison, they’re in behind.
Should have had another midfield in there to deal with that threat.

I was impressed/shocked that he managed 90 mins. I thought he made a couple of important blocks that helped us get a point in the end. However I was very frustrated by his lack of ability and intention to find passes forward, passing it back too often and inviting pressure. His lack of pace is a concern as well, but with our other midfield options I think we need him to keep playing. Then release him at the end of the season along with a few others

Strongly suspect he got through the Utd game on adrenaline. Bit more of a comedown last night.

Problem with our midfield is that there's no combination that feels like a consistently reliable/available unit. You've got to play a three because none of them are rounded enough to cope in a two. But there's always someone unavailable.
