Face Mask Wearing

Are you happy to wear a face mask to help prevent the spread of Covid-19?

  • I will happily wear one to keep your Granny alive

  • Yes, and also people treat me normally when they can't see my hideously deformed face

  • Not fussed either way, it's the law

  • "You can't eat ice cream when you're muzzled!"

  • Definitely not, I want to kill my Gran through ignorance

  • QGammon nonsence about Paedos, 5G Masts, Fake Pandemics and my Freeeeeeeedom!!!!!!!

I've just spent a few weeks in hospital after heart surgery. One doctor told me there isn't a doctor in this hospital that thinks face masks protect you against covid19. A nurse told me if you look at the boxes the masks come in there's a warning on the side that states the same.
Thanks mate, who needs doctors hey when we've got experts like you to tell us what you've seen on telly. Hahahaha

Hope all went well with your surgery and you are recovering well. And I do truly mean this, however...

The new data produced by infectious disease physicians, epidemiologists and other experts in the field have shown that masks do decrease spread. They are certainly less effective at protecting the wearer than N95 mask, but it is a bit like exposure to radiation. No exposure would be the best outcome, but limiting it as much as possible is the next best thing.

Personally think it's daft, the virus will spread by touch alone so what's the point?

I'll wear one to make other people around me feel better like, but truthfully I think people are just misinformed. Michael Osterholm, probably the world's leading expert on Covid-like viruses, has said they do next to nothing in terms protecting you from infection. The best way to slow the spread is to simply look after yourself, make sure your immune system is a strong as can be so the virus has no chance against you. That way the bacteria can't survive to infect others.

Anyone who refuses to wear one can get in the bin, but people who do shouldn't think it's some noble act they're doing.
