12:25pm - 5Live start to report on statement - they go to Juliette Ferrington at Goodison who is reporting on the game. At 12:27 (skip to 27 minutes in broadcast), Juliette Ferrington states, "I understand her car was spat at and jostled, so fans were trying to physically move the car after she was trying to leave after that Brighton game, she was in the car her husband. There was some very sexualised and misogynistic language used towards her."

She makes absolutely no reference to DBB being "physically manhandled by a male" - despite this surely being the more serious of the events that occurred out of the two. Surely that would have been the major talking point instead the broadcast chats about the statement for a moment then going back to talking about football in the Championship.

12:49pm - Julitte Ferrington tweets what she has just said on the radio.

1:28pm - Joe Thomas / Liverpool Echo make report of DBB being put in headlock

2:45pm - Greg O'Keefe / David Ornstein / The Athletic ratify the story stating - "according to a club source who was asked not to be named for their safety."

And that's it. All from 'club sources' via effectively 3 journalists. Two of whom are well in with the clubs media team and David Prentice.

It is impossible to be true. It would have been plastered all over the internet an hour after it happened with all of the cttv and mobile phones. You only have to fart now and its on twitter or you tube. It was a disgraceful act of war against their own supporters.
You've only got to see the speed of which the Gordon and Mina incidents hit the media to give the above a massive dose of credibility

And a little over a week later its 'f you and your rights as a citizen Denise, we're splashing this everywhere now, gloves are off'

Bullshit mate.
You know it.
I know it.
And pretty much every other Evertonian knows it.

Theres no way back for BK, DBB or any of their cronies after that.

Yeah fair point mate, it’s been leaked without doubt and mucks been thrown so fair points. Still if it did happen and I’m not saying it did, she has a right not to report it to the feds, rightly or wrongly - the club can’t force her.

I don’t know the truth of it, but it’s at the point given the muck has been thrown and the reputation damage that the club need to clarify it.

Nice summary mate

Just thought instructed was very concrete in their statement, who else could instruct them but the Feds and I could understand why they would, they would have been busy yesterday. But all fair points! ;)
The statement specifically said an unnamed 'Security & Safety Advisor' were the ones who gave the advice.

Chairman Bill Kenwright, CEO Denise Barrett-Baxendale, Chief Finance & Strategy Officer Grant Ingles and Non-Executive Director Graeme Sharp have reluctantly accepted the outcome of the safety assessment carried out by security advisors.

The Board members received the instruction following malicious and unacceptably threatening correspondence received by the Club and increasing incidents of anti-social behaviour – including targeted physical aggression - at recent home matches.

A Security & Safety Advisor said: “Following a thorough risk assessment, and in response to tangible threats received by the Club and intelligence we have gathered, the Club’s Board members have been told they must not attend today’s fixture.”

It didn't say independent or police. It could've been advice from the internal head of security and safety, for example.

Ah good spot mate, thanks for posting, so some one /company employed by the club……I presumed it was the Feds. ;)

Begs the question, with reported death threats etc - how the club is handling these threats and allegations - I mean surely reported death threats need to be reported.

Oh I know mate, believe me I’m cynical about those people at the club . I’m just saying it wouldn’t surprise me if they had further things to shame fans with. Let people believe it’s fake news then all of a sudden submit some evidence to make everyone look silly for questioning it.

Probably me being paranoid but I wouldn’t be surprised. They are arlarses these people, slime balls.
They’ll do a ’deepfake’ video of her being headlocked by Bill, then crop the image so you cant see Bill’s face. It will only be given away by Bill getting wood hearing him whisper “have you ever considered bondage Denise”?

But they hinted just enough that people reading it , as we’ve seen , thought it was police advice . I spoke to lads yesterday who had the same impression. They no exactly what they’re doing
