Fake News By Everton FC.

If it happened in the ground there should be evidence, you would think the first place you’d put cctv is the directors box, isn’t it alleged to have happened there or was it the car park.…

Trying to think why the club wouldn’t report it, maybe PR at having a go at the fans, creating unrest and division - maybe not wanting to publicise disharmony at the club. Maybe the CEO didn’t want to press charges against the alleged perpetrator, she has that right.

On the opposite side, not reporting is colluding that alleged behaviour as ok and acceptable.

True or not, no win for the club whatever action they take.
Inside the ground i believe, although hopefully someone will correct me if I'm wrong

If it’s true then they should - provide evidence from CCTV and eye witnesses, contact Merseyside police, report an assault, find the person responsible, arrest them etc, you know normal stuff that keeps society civil.. Did I really have to say that mate?

I’m just amazed that they’re either lying, have over hyped something smaller happening, or didn’t do the right thing and report it, then bring it up a week later, as “club sources” report with no one’s name on it. Bizarre.

See my other post mate. Agree it’s bizarre. Good seeing you about mate!;)

I don’t get why they wouldn’t report it incase it causes disharmony. But will happily report it in a media statement with zero evidence.

Lads, was on my way home from town this morning and this Rolls Royce pulled up, as I looked through the half open window of the rear passenger seat, to catch a glance at the occupant, an half eaten greggs steak bake was violently thrown at me.

A piece of the steak came flying out from its beautiful pastry casing, it caught me in my right cheek. It was like hot lava, a piece of flank steak searing through my beautiful face. The juices from this steak bake had partially blinded me.

I was distraught and temporarily blinded, the car door opened and I started wildly swinging in the hope and hitting my perpetrator. It was in vain, alas I was struck from behind and lay motionless on the floor.

As I crawled like a wounded animal away from the vicious assault I managed to gain my vision, I turned, and standing by the car was an older gentleman. He had grey hair, a real fat face and holding and what looked like a theatre program for something called “blood brothers”, as he entered the car he yelled obscenities at me before peering his face through the half opened window and yelling “and I was in Corrie ye nobhead”

And help in finding this man, I would be in your debt for life.

We are talking about the alleged physical altercation of a female here. If ANY club has/is 'stocking' it up as PR to use against the fans then every journo in the land should be ripping them to utter shreds. I mean i'm quite surprised how much longer all of this is going to be allowed to go on and get even worse before someone from the PL or the FA gets hold of the club and asks them what the bloody hell is going on at EFC.

I know people who’ve been ejected and nicked for all manner of things at football , there have been blues charged over gestures and abusive language. The idea that a board member can be assaulted and the matter be unreported for nearly a fortnight and the alleged perpetrator sneak off facing zero repercussions from the police or the club and presumably come back to their seat for yesterday’s game is not just ridiculous it’s contemptible.
I was dragged out of Arsenal by the Police about 10 years ago before halftime for persistent standing (3 separate times when we had the ball in attacking positions).

I imagine if I’d gripped an older woman in a headlock, I’d have done at least 3 years and still be banned from all football grounds for life.

Trigger for a leak would have been justifying missing yesterday mate.

Logically, I think the club needs to acknowledge the report and confirm or deny the allegation and take a position.

It’s being reported nationally and it reflect really bad on our supporters, the institution - it’s to subjective and damaging now for the club not to provide clarity.

Either way they are damned i matter what they do now, so may as well tell the truth. If the Feds are aware of it and instructed the board not to attend yesterday, then that should be clarified.

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Premier League sues us for damaging their brand!

Id like the club to acknowledge or clarify it given the scope of reporting.

Im just playing devils advocate though, say it happened and DBB as CEO said, she didn’t want to report to try and convey unity and protect the reputation of the club - she has that right as a citizen, the club can’t force her. Not saying that happened, but not impossible either.

I agree though - the club is damned if they do or don’t here, but I think clarity is needed.

While I’m at it The whole threats , threat assessment and advised not to attend statement reeks of them hinting it’s police advice but clearly it isn’t and they’ve made their own decision or those in their employ have but they’re pretending that plod told them not to come .

Proper despicable behaviour and responsible for winding up a fanbase, making them a target for the media rather than solving the issues they’ve created . Taking cheap shots at Evertonians it what you’d expect from RS not from people who claim to be lifelong blues .

If someone had really done this they’d have been arrested on the spot absolutely no doubt and tens if not hundreds if not thousands would’ve seen this, let alone likely no the assailant
It’s complete rubbish
